For Lauragais lovers, we fell in love with the Château des Varennes. The latter is located on a hill, in the heart of a small village. Beautiful with its pink bricks, it is complemented by a magnificent garden that offers a superb view of the Lauragais and even the Pyrenees.
Elsa will welcome you to this magnificent estate. Very friendly, she very kindly helped us to organize ourselves well. She gives good advice for the choice of service providers because many came. We trusted her and are extremely satisfied with the service provided by the team that surrounded us. Elsa listens throughout the preparations, always there to answer questions or show you around the place. On the day of the event, Elsa makes herself available to guide the service providers and help you in case of difficulties but without being oppressive. Elsa was a great help to us throughout the weekend, we thank her for that.
At the front is a courtyard, perfect for a reception while preserving the surprise of the reception room for your guests. You can also take beautiful photos there, either from the courtyard with the guests seated on the stairs, or from the floors of the castle, offering a view from above of the reception.
In case of rain, everything is planned, you have the possibility to settle in the 3 interior lounges. Older wedding, happy wedding… we were entitled to it 😉
At the back of the castle is a garden with a green lawn, very well maintained. You will find a very pretty view of the Lauragais and in good weather, of the Pyrenees. It is at the heart of this garden that there is a large marquee. There were 130 of us seated around round tables of 8 people (provided by the castle, the ideal size to chat with your neighbors opposite without shouting). We were spread out over about 16 tables, leaving room for the waiters to move around the room.
A covered passageway gives you easy access to the inside of the castle, especially to the lower floor where there are two magnificent rooms in the vaulted cellars of the castle. The first is a dining room with old wooden tables and chairs, the second is the dance room. This room offers an unusual and very warm atmosphere to share a first dance with your guests and even the following ones!
Finally, via a magnificent brick staircase, you can go back up to the bedrooms. The bride and groom have a sumptuous bedroom, which will highlight your preparation photos. Other original bedrooms and accommodations await your guests.
