Award-Winning Wedding Venue In Galway Clayton Hotel Galway is the proud recipient of a number of wedding-related national awards, most recently winning “Top Rated Venue Connaught” by WeddingDates which was judged based solely on the reviews of past wedding couples. This is the second time we have won this award with the first being in 2020. We are also through to the final stages of the 2023 WeddingsOnline Awards in two categories; ‘Wedding Hotel Venue of the Year Connaught’ and ‘Wedding Venue Co-ordinator of the Year – Debbie Foott’. The hotel has previously won both awards on multiple occasions. Our wedding function room was also previously voted as ‘Best Ballroom in Ireland’ at the RSVP Wedding awards. The whole team were extremely helpful from day one
Debbie and the whole team were extremely helpful from day one. We had a great day and all the guests commented on how relaxed it was. I am also celiac and the hotel ensured the food was gluten free for me. Would recommend the venue to everyone

We felt like the stars of the show
We had an amazing day and our guests thoroughly enjoyed the day also. Both Corina and Debbie were so accommodating with any ask we had. When we reached the clayton, Corina greeted us with glasses of champagne and welcomed us in. We walked into the hotel and the atmosphere was superb. As the day and night continued we felt like the stars of the show. The food was amazing, no guest was hungry.

I cannot recommend them enough
We had our wedding in the Clayton on the 22nd of June and I cannot recommend them enough! It was an absolutely magical day thanks to all the staff who went above and beyond from the day we booked the venue. Everyone was so accommodating! Nothing was too much to ask for, we didn't feel an ounce of stress the entire day. Eduarda & The Wedding Team were there the entire time to ensure we were happy with everything.

From day one The Clayton was our hotel of choice
From day one The Clayton was our hotel of choice. When we met Debbie she was so helpful from the begining and nothing was too much of an ask. Everything went off without a hitch and the staff couldn't me more helpful. Karina took over our wedding for the last couple of weeks and the transition was seamless. The entire staff went above and beyond for both of us and all our guests. We would highly recommend the Clayton to our family and friends and look forward to visiting it again soon.

Eduardo was absolutely fantastic especially the week of the wedding when everything got really busy, she was always at the end of the phone if we needed her and very flexible with any changes we needed to make. The perfect location for us
We recently had our wedding reception at the Clayton Hotel. The venue itself is beautiful, and was just the perfect location for us. The staff were amazing as well! Every member of the team at the hotel was so helpful and friendly, but I have to say a special thank you to Eduarda, who just made the day extra special! Our day ran so smoothly, the food was delicious and everyone had a great day. If you’re considering the Clayton Hotel for your wedding I would highly recommend booking with them.

Everything was absolutely amazing and perfect
I had my wedding here on the 15th of august 2024. I was planning for 2 years. I knew straight away when I went into the Clayton that this was where I was getting married and also my reception. We would like to thank you very much for all of your hard work and effort. We had the absolute pleasure of dealing with Eduarda, Elaine, and all the team at Clayton Hotel Galway for our wedding day. They went above and beyond all our expectations. There wasn't enough they could do for us. We had so many extra little bits sent to the hotel and they sorted everything out. Service was amazing.
Was here for a wedding! Service was amazing. Manager on the floor was the star of the night She was on the ball with all of our complicated requests (Think her name was Carmel). Food was really nice and hot. We will definitely back to dine in the bar or the restaurant!

Our modern hotel offers complimentary parking and is opposite the Galway racecourse, close to Galway city centre and just 2km from Parkmore West Business Park. Located just off the M6 motorway, Clayton Hotel Galway is easily accessible from Dublin, Cork, Limerick or any other location around Ireland. Shannon Airport is a 40-minute drive and we are 1-hour from Knock Airport, 2-hours from Dublin Airport and 2.5 hours from Cork Airport. Galway City is very well connected both regionally and nationally by public transport with Irish Rail serving Ceannt Station and Galway Coach Station served by Aircoach, Citylink and GoBus.
