What is your most memorable wedding?
All of my weddings have been memorable for different reasons, however I think my first Indian bridal party would be the most memorable as I love creating the bright colourful looks as much as the traditional bridal looks and it was such an honour to be asked.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Soft glam, natural, modern, glowy, long-lasting.
What about your business are you most proud of?
I have built this business from the ground up whilst working a full time job and also studying. From the beginning I have worked alongside award-winning MUAs to build my knowledge to ensure I can provide the luxury service I pride myself on.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
If you’re unsure on booking a makeup artist, do it. It takes the stress off of you to have to get it perfect on the day, and being pampered on your big day helps de-stress.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
One of my brides had invited the king to her wedding and received a signed letter in return to display at the reception and it wasn’t something id ever seen before.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I will initially ask for the date, location (for trial and on the day) and number of people to ensure I am available. I will then arrange the trial 3-6 months before the wedding. I will then provide a quote and an email with my terms and conditions and on receipt of the deposit I then book the trial and reserve the wedding date. At the trial I will discuss what the vision is, look at any inspiration pictures and discuss the wedding venue and colour scheme to get a full picture of what the wedding will be like to ensure the final look is fitting with the theme. Once satisfied, I will document all the products used and will create a timeline which will be sent over 1-2 months prior to the day to ensure there is time to tweak it depending on other vendors timelines. I will also source the products for the complimentary touch up kit. Full payment is required at least 4 weeks before the wedding.
What do you love most about your job?
The way clients faces light up when I hand them the mirror and that love what they see.
What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?
Drink lots of water, and skincare. Even a minimal skincare routine of cleanser, moisturiser and SPF will make the world of difference in how the makeup looks, feels and lasts. Makeup only looks as good as the base it is on.
How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?
During the months between booking and the big day I will create a timeline to ensure a smooth running of getting ready and as soon as the bride sits in my chair on the day, nobody is allowed to bring her any problems or stress - this is her moment of pamper and calmness and I will protect this.
What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?
Don’t touch your face, try to drink water (in between the alcohol, I’m not a spoil sport), and I’ll provide a touch up kit (if you’re not too busy enjoying your day).
