Wedding Illustrator Full Description
Give your guests a beautiful souvenir of your unforgettable day – and a unique opportunity to watch an artist at work. I’m Aaron, a live portrait artist for weddings providing truly unique wedding entertainment. As a professional live illustrator, I specialise in painting singles, couples and even entire families from life, portraying outfits in a few swift strokes. Your well dressed guests will receive a wedding favour to treasure. I guarantee your guests will never have seen anything like this before at a wedding. As I complete each portrait in my expressive painterly style, I sign it with calligraphy and your custom wedding stamp, and add it to a pop up gallery.  As well as painting guest portraits, I can also capture your ceremony with a stunning live wedding painting - a detailed large watercolour of you and your partner tying the knot. I'll depict the beauty of the venue and florals around you, and I can even add in any family members or pets you'd like in the picture. Start your married life together with bespoke artwork capturing the spirit of your day, to display and cherish forever.

I've just taken it to be framed
Aaron, thank you so much for your adorable portrait of Rich & me. I’ve just taken it to be framed, we both feel really properly ‘got’.

A perfect memory from a brilliant day
I can’t believe you managed to capture the whole family in under 20 min – including two very wriggly children! A perfect memory from a brilliant day – it’s hanging in our hallway and makes me happy every time I see it.

Our guests were raving about your art
"Your art was something really special that lot of our guests were raving about, both at the time and since. They were thrilled to have something to take home. The illustrations feel more like they captured the spirit of the thing than photos. We’ve filled a wall in our home with your paintings and they make me smile every time I walk past them. Thanks Aaron!"

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

I did live portrait illustrations for the wedding of Isha Ambani - the daughter of the richest man in India, in Mumbai. It was absolutely stunning... like a festival - millions of flowers, animated lit up displays, incredible live bands, a luxury buffet like nothing I've ever seen, dancers in costume, multiple magicians, and guests dressed in every colour of the rainbow, dripping with gold.

What about your business are you most proud of?

I'm self taught and have built my fast live illustration skills up over years of practice into a skill that is almost entirely unique and very hard to mimic.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Book your supplier early, especially if they're unusual! There are very, very few artists who can do live portraits that are both fast and beautiful, for example. Also, the quality and originality of the work is going to be more important in the long run than how local someone is, or saving a couple of hundred quid on their fee. You won't regret spending a little more when your guests frame and treasure their portrait instead of it being a temporary novelty from an amateur.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

I find out what kind of illustrations they want - just guest portraits or some live illustration of the day itself too. I'm available to meet up and chat through options if required. Then I take a deposit and secure the date! On the day, I turn up about 90 mins early to get set up, and either illustrate the ceremony or wait for the reception to begin so I can start delighting the guests with live portraits. These become a pop up art gallery, and at the end of the day, guests take their portrait home.
