What is your most memorable wedding?

A boho wedding in Tipis with wild and bright flowers, flowers in hair, and grass buttonholes.

Loose, natural, seasonal, sustainable, beautiful

What about your business are you most proud of?

That I’m totally local, I don’t import flowers or use any chemicals. I use sustainable methods and am climate aware. My flowers are practically carbon neutral. I grow a large variety of roses and perennials as well as annuals. My bouquets will always be that something a little bit different.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Pinterest!

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Love and family and friends pitching in with enthusiasm!

Describe your typical process with a couple.

They contact me and through a series of questions we ascertain if we are a match! Then we arrange a meet at my studio with lots of questions and a sharing of Pinterest boards. From then on we usually communicate through WhatsApp and I am always available to answer questions. Just before the wedding the couple visit again to finalise the flowers and buttonholes.

What is the most interesting thing you have put in a bouquet?

Black millet.

Is there a flower that has specific symbolism that you would recommend for couples?

Myrtle

What is the most romantic flower and why?

Roses of course especially the David Austin for their beauty and scent.

What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?

After the wedding the couple keep the flowers and often distribute them round the guests of take them to the grave of a loved one. They can dry or press the flowers from the wedding. Or I can collect them after the event.
