What is your most memorable wedding?
Definitely the wedding where the rings were delivered by an owl to the best man!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Bright, natural, relaxed, genuine, professional
What about your business are you most proud of?
The ability to understand what a bride and groom are looking for from their photographs and my attention to detail in the images.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Always meet with any supplier but, especially the photographer. It is important for both parties to feel comfortable with each other so that the photographer can bring out the best for you on the day. Plus, make sure you like the photographers style of edit.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I would always arrange to meet with any couple prior to their booking. This way they can make sure that they are happy to invest in me as their photographer. At the meeting, I can show them some of my work and what packages I can provide. We would also talk through what they are looking for and whether there are any specific or special requests. Then, I would send out my contract with terms and conditions and request a deposit. I usually then book an engagement or pre-wedding shoot with them so that they get used to me and my style and feel at ease with me around on the wedding day. In the week leading up to the wedding, I would check in with the couple to ensure that there were no last minute adjustments or requests.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Couple shots. These remain favourites over the years.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
Definitely photos with pets - dogs, goats, horses and rabbits so far (although not all for one couple!).
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
A beautiful umbrella and lots of fun!
Describe how you got into photography.
I have taken photos for years in various different subjects but I am definitely a people person. My fiance has been pushing me for a while to start my business. If you know him, then you will know how critical he is. So much so, that when he pays me a compliment, I know he really means it. He has always complimented my photography!
