Before you get started, sit down together and decide on what your non-negotiable's are - what's important to you and what you cannot do without; and what your negotiable's are - what do you not mind, what is not important to you. It's important that you discuss this at the beginning of your wedding planning journey together. It'll certainly make it easier when creating your budget as well as when you eventually start sourcing venues and suppliers and, of course, planning your special day!

I once had a couple that used past polaroid pictures of them and their individual guests, as their guests name cards.

It typically starts with a discovery call or email correspondence to discuss what you are looking for – what service you are interested in, your budget, your location, if you have a date in mind, where you are at in your planning process etc. Next we will organise a free consultation or Skype call. This is for us to get to know each other and for me to find out what makes you tick and who are as a couple. We will delve deeper into you – your style, your personality, your character, your priorities and needs and wants for your wedding. We will use this meeting to construct the finer details of your wedding and what you are looking for – date, location, how you envisage your wedding going, what services you want from me and how hands on or hands off you want to be etc. Following our consultation, I will then create a bespoke proposal for you based on our conversations, detailing everything that we have discussed. My aim is to get this to you within 5 working days, so that you have enough time, to be able to discuss this as a couple and come to a decision.

I cannot say, that I have asked to plan anything unusual, but you never know...

It has got be the first time you see each other! You've probably spent a lot of time away from each other at this point and have both been busily getting ready. That first looks is so special and magical! It's a combination of excitement, love and happiness - a perfect way to start a wedding!
