Ex-professional footballer George Melling with (MND) wedding after Covid restrictions to wife Nicci In January 2021 George Melling was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). George, who played centre half for Blackpool FC, Morecambe, Altrincham, Leyland Town, Kendal, and his home team Coppull. Nicci and George totally in love had to postpone their wedding day due to covid restrictions and time were of the essence as George had developed problems with his speech and his ability to walk had declined. But the day finally came when they tied the knot with a handfasting wedding ceremony and celebrated their love surrounded with friends and family. I believe a wedding is similar to watching a really good movie, if the movie is brilliant but has an awful ending then it spoils the magic. If a movie is brilliant with a brilliant ending then is it remembered forever. The end of your wedding ceremony should be something magical and make you feel as though you are in the movies. I have surprised couples with pom-poms under their seats, leaving to football music, bubbles being played and even had the guests dancing/raving to 1990's dance music out of the ceremony room as you take your first steps towards your future together, dancing out of your venue together and dancing into your future happiness.

It's really important to know we're a good match, were not about the sales were all about our brides and grooms to ensure your day is exactly how you want it to be. We arrange a zoom meeting to discuss your dream wedding then we send you some love homework to ensure we cover every detail of the choreography of how your ceremony will flow, who is most important in the ceremony, where everyone will sit, how you will enter and exit the ceremony room, music choices, poem and readings and most of all the vows to the person you love. We help you with all aspects of your ceremony and ensure you're totally happy. When it comes to your special day, you have absolutely nothing to worry about as you are in safe hands with our years of experience.

We've planned many unusual things, from weddings in gardens to weddings whereby people who haven't got much more time on this earth. I personally have led many weddings since 2012 including a wedding in France, whereby we hired shower cubicles, toilet blocks and teepees for the guests to sleep in. The wedding was held under a huge beautiful tree, surrounded by sunflowers a truly fairytale wedding. Another memorable wedding. A gentleman who had motor neurone disease and didn't want to be sat in his wheelchair during his ceremony. We had to find two high backed chairs, one for the groom and one for the bride. The venue didn't have these chairs available but didn't inform us until the day before as we took the time to check and double-check, by visiting the venue prior to ensure they had everything needed for the day. Luckily I've got a campervan and was able to allocate the chairs and bring them myself - you see we do the stuff behind the scenes that isn't noticed if it's done correctly but would be noticed if it wasn't done. I call us the secret caretakers, were here to care and take care in everything we do to ensure your day is exactly the way you want it to be.

Planning and great communication so everyone is aware of what is going to happen.

Follow your heart, your day is about you and your partner and no one else. Don't be fooled by trying to please everyone else, the mothers, the bridesmaids etc.... remember this is one day of your life when it's all about the love you have for your partner, it's the one day you are supposed to be a little selfish and put yourself first.

Seeing the faces of the brides and grooms when they say their personalised vows to one another. I always have tissues as the magic that's created between the couple is truly memorable. Also, the upbeat music and the exit when the couple take their steps towards a brand new life of happiness together x
