Vita Ceremonies Full Description
I conduct unique, personalised ceremonies across Hampshire and the New Forest. I also work across Berkshire, Dorset, Surrey and Wiltshire and I am happy to travel further afield (including abroad!). I offer a range of fully bespoke ceremonies including weddings, vow renewals and elopement ceremonies. I also provide script and vow writing services. Because my ceremonies are completely tailored to you, you can opt to go down a more traditional route, you can include elements of a particular tradition, or you can choose to have a completely unconventional ceremony. I don’t use set scripts or templates; I’ll work closely with you to create a special, distinctive and one of a kind ceremony, weaving in any elements of tradition, symbolism and spirituality you choose to include. You want to hold your ceremony in a field? You can! In a forest? On a mountain? On a beach? On a boat? On a farm? No problem! Are you interested in including a meaningful ritual such as handfasting, sand blending or ring warming? I’ve got you. Wherever you want your wedding ceremony to take place and whatever you are looking for in a ceremony, let’s talk.

Personal Message from the Manager

Name of Wedding Contact: Susannah
I’m Susannah, a Hampshire-based independent celebrant. I’m here to create a ceremony that is tailored perfectly to you. I have a gorgeous (and very vocal) tuxedo cat and I love tea, chocolate, and crime novels. I live near to the New Forest, and I love a muddy woodland walk. I’m a researcher by background; I love finding out about new things. I’m also very partial to an Excel spreadsheet. (Yes, really!)

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Individual, creative, adaptable, empathetic, enthusiastic

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Excel Spreadsheets! I love a spreadsheet and I used one to plan my own wedding, with separate tabs for venues, florists, entertainment etc, including costs, contact numbers, meeting dates and so forth. Also, make sure to enlist the help of those in your wedding party to do all those things that you won’t be there to do or won’t have time to do – such as being the liaison person for the venue or photographer, directing guests to where they need to be, as well as making sure you and your partner’s glasses are topped up on the day!

Describe your typical process with a couple.

I work closely with my couples, incorporating their feedback, to make sure that the ceremony I write for them is as individual as they are as well as being everything they want it to be. My fees also include a (totally optional) rehearsal ahead of the big day.

How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?

If there is any element of your wedding that is particularly important, then highlight this to your venue, photographer, cake maker etc and ask a trusted member of the wedding party to follow this up. But most importantly, on the day, take a deep breath, remember the reason that you and your partner are both there and soak up every moment of your special day.

What is your favourite moment at a wedding?

It has to be just after the ceremony, seeing the couple in their 'Yes! We did it!’ moment and seeing the joy on everyone’s faces.
