Chester Zoo

We had the most amazing wedding at the Oakfield in Chester Zoo in October. The staff were amazing in the run up and on the day of the event, and everything went so smoothly! The food was incredible, the venue looked beautiful and the music was great! It’s such a unique experience to be able to go round the zoo on your day as well, and meant our guests really enjoyed their day as well as us along with some unique photos! The venue also recommended some great suppliers to us, who also were all amazing. I strongly recommend Chester zoo for your wedding- we had the perfect day!

First of all the wedding planning is very organised by Frankie I can't thank her enough. Larah our EDM was incredible organising us on the day and setting up everything perfectly. The wedding breakfast and evening food was incredible. I had so may compliments from guests saying they had an amazing day. Xx

The staff at the zoo were amazing so helpful and organised. Loved being able to enjoy my day with the animals aswell. The food was great loads of guests completed this. Frankie was great really organised and helpful. EDM on the day was great too nothing was too much trouble. We had a great day.

Throughout the planning process and on the day, the team at Chester Zoo were incredible! Our wedding ran so smoothly and the food was incredible!!! Everyone was so unbelievably helpful and I couldn't have wished for a better venue for our wedding!

The day went better than we imagined it could ever go! Frankie has been absolutely amazing with all of the planning and went above and beyond to meet our needs throughout the process. On the day Shaun, Magda and Ian were absolutely fantastic, could not do enough for us, they and their team of amazing staff made the day flow so well. Also the rangers who took our guests out on an amazing tour were brilliant, they even had other ideas for when it was briefly raining which was very much appreciated. I would recommend getting married at The Oakfield at Chester Zoo as it is an incredible venue with so much character and class and the whole day is a memory which will last forever, thank you so much for making it the best day of our lives.

I don't think I'll ever be able to recommend Chester Zoo as a wedding venue enough. The wedding coordinators couldn't do enough to help on all sides of the planning and organisation. This made it super easy to just focus on the final touches to make it as personal as possible. The day itself ran seamlessly and I was never pestered about anything so was able to just fully immerse myself in the day. We had so many people coming up to us saying that it was the best wedding they have ever been to. The guests were able to go around the zoo and we got some amazing pictures both inside the venue and whilst we were walking around. The quality of everything right down to the food was incredible, the food is the best wedding food I've ever had. The best part is that your money is also going to conservation so it doesn't feel like your money is being wasted as you know that your wedding is doing good even after it's over. I would recommend getting a zoo membership though as we ended up getting far too tempted after our wedding meetings and ended up buying lots of zoo tickets in the build up to the wedding!

Zaina and I just wanted to drop an email to say a massive thank you for Saturday. The entire team was incredible, very attentive and accommodating. Everything ran like clockwork but wasn’t too regimented and the organisation and change over of things were seemless (to us anyway). The room looked wonderful and will be a talking point for a long time to come for some of our guests. They really enjoyed going into the zoo between ceremony and food.

Everything went perfectly, we haven't stopped hearing from people telling us how much of a good time they had and that it was the best wedding they've ever been to!

We'd like to give a special thank you to the zoo staff for being so accommodating and everyone else involved with ensuring everything ran smoothly. The planning of the day was exceptional with open lines of communication to have all your questions answered. The staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. We had the best day of our lives and it was the perfect venue. The food venue and planning went so smoothly that nothing in our day went wrong it was outstanding! The food was also very high standard and very tasty! We have had many compliments on the wedding and the food! We could not have asked for more. Considering our special day was the first one held there since it was refurbished it was faultless! Would highly recommend this to anyone! Seeing animals on your wedding day is also very special! Beautiful venue very spacious with a lot of natural lighting too! I genuinely can't express what an amazing place/venue this is to get married in!
