Clapton Country Club

We got married at CCC (ceremony at The Department of Life) last weekend - and it was thanks to Janine and team, that it was absolutely unreal. Janine was so amazing to work with - she answered all of my questions (there were lots!) and went above and beyond to help me make all the little things, possible. We went back and forth on the menu a few times, and we weren’t 100% sure what the mass catering would end up like when we went for a Sunday roast - omfg, let me tell you, it was one of the top things everyone commented on! It was AMAZING. We had a family style meal, and everything looked so beautiful, and more importantly it was delicious. You can choose from a WIDE selection of menus, too! So there’s literally something for everyone and they went above and beyond for the dietaries. The canapés were so so good, and there were plenty (nothing worse than feeling starved until dinner) and the quality of the wine was 🙏🏼🥳 (we went for the next level up for white and house red - which were both incredible. So incredible, that I think we were on the last bottles of the table wine before the mains had been served ahaha) The venue is gorgeous, the team are gorgeous. Honestly, it was the best day of my whole life. I’d do it all over again (with the same husband 😂) and I’d choose Clapton Country Club, every time!

Me and my wife recently got married at Clapton Country Club, it was the perfect venue for our wedding. Janine and the team were great at helping us organise, food, music and service on the day were incredible.

Had to write a review after our daughter's wedding there this last weekend. Janine and her team were fabulous - everything ran on time and to plan and the venue is just amazing! We managed to set up a few things the day before so it was personal to what we wanted, and the rest was left to Janine. We had sharing platters of food, of which there was plenty and so delicious. The staff are great and the whole day went without a hitch. If you're looking for something very London, funky, good fun and vibey, this is definitely the place to have your special day. Not a problem ordering Ubers home after midnight and wish we could do it all again next weekend! Thank you so much Janine for helping to make their day so wonderful. Best wishes, Fiona and Tim x

Stunning venue and great wedding set up. What really sets this place apart is the staff. I've never been to a wedding that ran so perfectly to time, with such delicious food served and cleared SO quickly (but not rushed). Lots of different spaces and bars for any kind of event. 10/10

My husband and I were married at Clapton Country Club the first weekend in July and we honestly couldn’t have wished for a better day. We absolutely loved this venue from the minute Terrance showed us around - it’s urban and rustic at the same time, filled with quirky artefacts, and bustling with plant life - you wouldn’t know this unique gem is tucked away in Clapton. The pricing structure for weddings is really clear and we knew exactly what was included in our package, which was a lot in comparison to other venues in the area. We hired the Department of Life for our legal ceremony, we had welcome drinks and canapés outside in the courtyard, followed by a reception in the Main Hall. We also used The Opium Room as a chill out zone for 3 very sleepy toddlers. The whole venue needs very little decoration, we paid for Clapton Country Club to trail Ruscus Ivy round the Main Hall and my mother-in-law was able to take supermarket flowers at 8am on the morning of the wedding and put them in gin bottles on the tables. It looked stunning. We worked with Janine to coordinate our event and she couldn’t have been more helpful in making sure the day was tailored to what we wanted. We really appreciated how calm she was, we had so many questions but she’s clearly very experienced in wedding planning and gave us lots of advice about the menu and running order of the day etc, which put us at ease since it was our first time planning a wedding and we had no idea what we were doing! Janine allowed us to drop off all of our decorative items in the days running up to the wedding (she also laid them all out for us!) and worked with all our vendors prior to the event to make sure we didn’t run into any issues on the day, so it was completely fuss free. The food and drink were fantastic, we chose our own BBQ menu which isn’t typically traditional for weddings and isn’t one of the many sample menus that Clapton Country Club provides, but they brought it all together perfectly, both at our tasting and on the day. All the wines are biodynamic and they have a fully stocked bar. Our guests are still saying it’s some of the best wedding food and drink they’ve ever had. Everyone was super attentive and really friendly. We could not have been happier with everything, thank you Clapton Country Club for making our day so special!

We went recently for a suprise birthday party. The venue has a great vibe, sort of Cuban feel for some reason, although that's probably not the theme lol. There was a couple of nice jazz bands performing. We were mostly eating Sunday roasts... and looking up the table all the variations looked to be a top choice, even the vegan option that can often be a bit of a second thought offering in some venues. Very tasty. Excellent staff. I would give 6 stars if I could!

This is the MOST magical wedding venue. It's beautiful and so full of charm, as are the wedding team and event staff. They made sure our guests were so looked after and cared for the whole day, and even made the non-vegans delight in the most incredible food! Couldn't have got married anywhere else! xxx

We returned to CCC for our wedding anniversary yesterday. The food and staff, as always, were superb. People still tell me how great the food was at our wedding. Generous portion sizes all seasoned well and warm! Would highly recommend for Sunday lunch. The team are so well organised and they made planning a wedding a breeze. We’ll be back next year 😊
