To the owners &staff reception, bar ,waiting staff to cleaner , & chefs you all went above and beyond for my granddaughters & grandson inlaws wedding, 23/11/2024, food was amazing wedding dinner excellent , I wanted to say thankyou to you all Norah Clelland ( gran of the bride )

We feel so fortunate to have chosen Mabie as our wedding venue, especially with just 40 days to plan our special day. Phillipa and her incredible team went above and beyond to ensure everything ran seamlessly in the lead-up to and on the day itself. Our entire celebration took place in the stunning Pavilion, which many of our guests described as beautifully cosy and inviting. The surrounding grounds provided the perfect backdrop for our wedding photos, creating memories we’ll cherish forever.

We got married abroad so only had an evening reception at Mabie. We fell in love with the Pavillon as soon as we viewed it! It has such a calming vibe. The staff were so helpful from start to finish, so we had a smooth day! We booked out the whole hotel for our guests and around 30 of us also had dinner in the restaurant before our reception, which tasted great! There are good gluten free and gluten free available dishes. The wedding room did our decor. We had our own mirror which we wanted put up for selfies, which Mabie staff helped us do. All in all it was a great day!

We had a very small last minute intimate wedding. Phillipa was fabulous at providing me with options through email, and the whole process was stress and hassle free. The day of the wedding was wonderful and I couldn't fault the beautiful venue and grounds nor the exceptional staff and amazing food.

Mabie House Hotel is located in the most picturesque setting. We viewed a few other local venues before booking Mabie for our big day, and it was not a difficult decision. I got ready in the beautiful bridal/honeymoon suite which was so spacious and the views were to die for. It was so nice getting to spy on our guests arriving. We had our ceremony outside on the giant grass lawn. The sun was shining and everything was taken care of by the brilliant staff and wedding coordinators. A special thanks go to Phillipa, Sam and Hazel who made us feel like nothing was a hassle. They have been organising weddings at Mabie for many years and it shows. They had everything absolutely under control and all we needed to do was turn up! Then onto the reception in the massive fixed structure marquee called The Pavillion. There was ample room within for our 150+ guests by evening and again the staff could not have been more accommodating. We danced and drank the night away without a care in the world! We couldn't imagine a better place to have spent our special day.

Mabie house was the perfect venue for our wedding, ourselves and our guests all travelled up from the north west England. We visited the venue twice before our day, phillipa kept us in the loop with everything and replied swiftly with any questions and even helped us finding some local vendors. The day went perfect, everyone who attended only had positive things to say, everyone said the food was the best wedding food they have had, it honestly is, I don’t know how they manage to keep the food high quality when catering for large party (we had 85 guests) but they nailed it. Sam and her team on the day didn’t stop, this was picked up by our guests who was amazing at their hard work and how they ‘was on it’. I don’t have any negatives, it was the best day, so thank you Marie house for making it so great!

We got married outdoors at Mabie then had our reception in the garden pavilion - and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice! Phillipa helped us organise the day to suit our own preferences - a small intimate ceremony with a large reception starting earlier in the day. She was quick at getting back to us with any queries and had lots of recommendations for suppliers! On the day itself, Sam and all the wonderful staff made sure everything ran smoothly so we literally didn’t need to think of a single thing! We got to enjoy every second with our guests. Please do go and check out this wonderful venue - you won’t regret it!

A wedding venue the same as many, beautiful grounds, stunning new marquee and a gorgeous hotel! But Mabie house hotel also offers friendly warm family felt experience. We wanted for nothing, nothing was too much trouble! Food was amazing, the bar was always full, as well as the dance floor!

After working in the wedding industry for many years, I was always going to struggle when it came to finding the "Perfect Venue" but we did. The staff were amazing from the beginning and everything ran so smoothly on the day. Mabie House Hotel stood out from the rest as they didn’t have ridiculously priced set menu`s. We were able to approach the chef with the menu we would like, and the cost was based accordingly. The 3-course wedding breakfast was no more than a standard meal out, unlike similar venues charging an obscene amount per head. The portions were generous, fresh, and piping hot, unlike other venues where you get a smaller lukewarm potion for a higher price. We opted for a traditional buffet In the evening and again, it was up to us what was on the menu, and it was hot, fresh and plentiful. The choice for the numerous dietary requirements was outstanding, and those with the vegetarian option were amazed and not having to eat a vegetable curry or Lasagne. The bar prices were also extremely reasonable and on par with your standard pub and a lot of our guests commented on this. The staff were extremely accommodating with numerous changes we had to make due to the pandemic and I was changing meal choices up until the day before the wedding. The main hotel and pavilion were warm and cozy for our winter wedding, but the grounds equally as beautiful in the summer, with the pavilion able to open into the garden. The staff were present but discreet and above most, helpful and accommodating. We would recommend this venue to any potential brides or Groom`s looking for a stress-free wedding, in a beautiful venue with the most amazing food and service.
