Sandman Signature Aberdeen Hotel

The sandman was the most beautiful venue for our wedding. Molly was so quick at replying to any queries and questions we had from when we booked the venue 2 years ago until the day of. Russell was fabulous on the day making sure everyone knew when and where they were meant to be. Everything flowed perfectly and their were no issues or things that didn't go quite to plan. Everything came together so well in the end. So spacious. Lots of areas We couldn't be happier with the end result. The sandman Aberdeen will forever have a special place in our hearts.

Molly and Russell did a very professional job helping with planning and organisation. On the day they made sure everything went to plan. Food was first class, staff were well organised and helpful. Function area was an ideal space. Plenty accommodation available for guests. Highly recommend The Sandman as a wedding venue. Thanks to all for helping to make the day special.

Outstanding leadership from start to finish. Excellent meal with ALOT of compliments on the Fillet of beef. Bridal suite 5* with aircon was a god send. Thank you to Molly and Russell and of course to the team who all worked fantastically together x

When I walked in, the first thing I noticed were the brightly coloured glass umbrellas suspended from the ceiling. Combined with yellow couches, seagull-shaped lights and cowhide chairs, they create a dramatic, arty first impression. It didn’t take long for the hotel’s wedding and events manager Molly to confirm exactly what I was thinking: this must be a favourite spot for newlyweds to be photographed.

Everything was just great. The hotel is lovely. Everyone couldn’t help us enough and also the meal was perfect. Have spoken very highly of the Sandman team since. Everyone had a great time.

I just wanted to thank you both for being so helpful whilst organising my event, both of the coordinators were very good at listening to my requests with the utmost patience as at times I was quite stressed as I was organising it all from abroad! I didn't need to worry as everything went very well on the day and everyone really enjoyed it all.

The venue was great. Super location, nice and bright and spacious on the mezzanine. Having the drinks and nibbles for people to help themselves to was super. The gentleman that provided all the drinks etc. was very helpful. We’ll certainly use the venue again.

The staff at the Sandman were phenomenal, all my guests were blown away with the level of detail and commitment that you all did to make our wedding day a fantastic event. I really cant thank them all for all their help, they made the day go smoothly and totally put me at ease, nothing was too much trouble for them. All the staff team were so kind and accommodating. From start to finish the planning for our wedding was exemplary. Every detail was perfect and everything we could have asked for. the team went above and beyond our expectations.

From first meeting Molly the co-ordinator and we'd decided to book the Sandman, the whole experience was great. Communication with Molly was great during the planning and she was always happy answering my queries and even gave some great advice for certain things that we followed. The hotel has a policy of no confetti inside, which is understandable, but as we got married at the end of September I didn't want to risk an outside confetti shot, so I asked Molly if we could do a bubble tunnel instead and was so delighted that this was allowed inside, it ended up looking amazing. 6 months before the big day we attended a menu tasting at the hotel, run by Russel, this was a great night and helped us finalise our menu choices, which was hard to do as the packages and choices are all great. The hotel is a beautiful old building, inside is modern and stunning. The locations for great photo's within the hotel are endless. Oh, and it's dog friendly so we were able to have our Collies with us for the ceremony and hung around for a few photo's, this was really special for us. The day itself went so smoothly, I wondered why I'd been worrying about all the little details on the run up to it. Molly and Russel had everything in complete control and I can't thank them both enough for making the day so stress free and enjoyable, not only for myself and my husband, but for all the guests. Having everything in one place was something we'd wanted for our day and this is the perfect venue for that. Using the mezzanine level for drinks and canapes after the ceremony was fantastic. I also have to mention the toilets next to the ballroom, amazing, giant mirror perfect for all the inevitable toilet selfies! Plus it was great to have toilets and the bar next to the ballroom so guests didn't have to use the main hotel facilities. The ballroom is split in 2 for the ceremony and meal, I worried it would look empty with 50 guests for the meal, but it didn't. Then it's opened up for the reception with a large stage and massive dance floor! Very important! The best part about the ballroom is being able to pick the colours of lighting you want! Guests who had never been to the hotel before commented how excellent it was. Also the meal, a few telling us it was the best wedding meal they'd had. Overall we're so pleased we went with the Sandman, central location, easy for guests to get to and plenty of rooms for those who wish to stay, many of ours did and all had a great experience. And it really was the most amazing day!
