Skylon is situated on the third floor of the Royal Festival Hall in the Southbank Centre and offers stunning views from huge floor-to-ceiling windows. With stunning views over the Thames and its own beautiful interiors, Skylon is the ideal wedding venue for the stylish couple. The Southbank Centre is a licensed wedding venue, meaning that you can enjoy the whole day in one place. We can accommodate large wedding celebrations within the main restaurant or for smaller parties we can provide the catering within any private area of the Southbank Centre. The restaurant features modern British cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere separated by a stunning centerpiece bar, which is renowned for its fabulous cocktails. Skylon takes its name from the original iconic structure that was built for the 1951 Festival of Britain. The restaurant’s design echoes the style of the Royal Festival Hall during the same period, with unique contemporary touches. Offering seasonal British cuisine and innovative wine and cocktail lists to match, the elegant surroundings of the restaurant can accommodate group bookings of up to 150 guests standing or 120 seated. You can also hire the whole venue exclusively hosting up to 500 guests standing or up to 300 guests seated. If you’re looking for something a little more secluded, our intimate River View area offers the perfect semi-private space with beautiful waterside views, available for up to 60 guests standing or 50 guests seated. Skylon can also cater for private parties in all event areas within the Royal Festival Hall and boasts a destination bar which is known for its inventive cocktails.
