We recently had a wonderful, intimate candlelight evening ceremony at The Alverbank Hotel. The attentive staff went above and beyond throughout the preparation ensuring our requests were met. The decorations were stunning, and the food delicious. The venue's charm and attention to detail created a magical atmosphere, leaving us with cherished memories. Most highly recommended for those seeking a romantic and personalised experience.

The whole team led by Claire helped to create a special day for us all. There was nothing the team couldn’t do and was all delivered with enthusiasm and positivity. The food, location and running of that day was perfect. We honestly could not recommend Claire and the alverbank team any higher. Best decision we made!

The Alverbank were kind enough to host our wedding last month and I cannot recommend them highly enough. From our very first meeting, Claire and the team were incredibly helpful, accommodating, and friendly, and took so much stress away from planning our day. They could not have done any more for us, exceeding our expectations in every single way possible. The chef at the Alverbank (Jack) is incredible - his food is honestly the best around and we have eaten here so many times now it's honestly my favourite place to go. To have him cater our wedding was a privilege and it was the most memorable and exquisite meal - Jack made suggestions and amendments to our choices which levelled them up to such a top tier choice, and it was perfect. The Alverbank went to great lengths to make our day perfect - even setting up the tables and function room completely for us and so much better than we could ever have done! It was such a surprise to be able to walk into our wedding reception and see such a beautiful set up and made it so special for us both. Not only the wedding, planning, meals, and hospitality, the accommodation at the venue is simply amazing. The honeymoon suite is most probably the nicest rooms I have ever stayed in, and that includes our 5-star hotel for honeymoon itself in Devon. It is stunning. The views are incredible, yet it feels private, luxurious, and comfortable. I could have stayed there for weeks!! Our wedding was absolutely MADE by the team at the Alverbank. From the meal the night before, the breakfast the morning after, and the extra touches they made on the day (I noticed the tea lights and added chalk signs, the gift table, and how you coordinated the day so effortlessly, even though you did nothing to boast about these elements) - we are eternally grateful. The venue and team will hold a special place in our hearts forever more. Thank you for everything.

We are so thankful to Claire at The Alverbank and her team for looking after us from the moment we visited the hotel for the first time to the wedding day. Every time we had a meeting with Claire we felt so welcome and reassured that it took so much stress away. Claire really knows what she is doing! The hotel really felt like our home for the weekend of the wedding and the staff an extension of our family! What a special team of people, I am so grateful for the service Claire and the whole team provided.

Claire is just AMAZING, and her team went above and beyond. In the lead up to our wedding we had Naval deployments, Cancer Treatment and a cost of living crisis but yet Claire was calm, understanding and compassionate. The day was perfect and I would relive it again and again I could. Thank you so much 🥰

Claire and Billy made our weeding day 16th September 2023 a day that will long be remembered for the best reasons The venue was perfect and nothing was too much trouble and Claire and Billy were on hand throughout the day and evening The food was delicious and being able to have our dogs attend was perfect

We booked our wedding when the previous owners ran the hotel. Unbeknown to us, the hotel was just about to be shut down. When we found out, we thought that our money and hopes of getting married here were lost. Fortunately, Abby took over and couldn't of done more to help us. We then had meetings with Claire, our wedding co-ordinator, who further put our minds at ease that we would get the day of our dreams. The day was faultless, Ethan helped organise the day and was also superb. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone. The ladies behind the bar late into the evening were fabulous. Thank you all of you!! The setting looked outstanding, the food was delicious, and the view was beautiful. It was everything we hoped for, and so much more. The rooms were extremely comfortable and breakfast was just as good as the food on our day. We cannot recommend The Alverbank highly enough as a place to hold your special day. We would do it all again there.... if we could!

We had our wedding at the Alverbank on the 2nd September 2023. We could not have asked for a better day or a better venue. Everything went smoothly and to plan. The weather was excellent, the venue was excellent, the food was excellent and the staff were amazing. Claire looked after us from the get go and was fully catered to all our needs. We had a slightly unconventional wedding. Our dress code was casual, the food was a BBQ, (Half Vegan) we had a silent disco, Photo Booth, Coloured Smoke bombs for the photos and we even had a tattooist booked for the day to give our guests something permanent to remember the day (hahaha) None of this was an issue for Claire, and she was more than happy to do something a little different. I would highly recommend using the Alverbank as a wedding venue to anyone.

The best decision we ever made was to have our wedding at the Alverbank! Abby, Claire, Ethan and the team were absolutely incredible and we really can't thank them enough. Right from the very start they were so attentive, and nothing was ever too much. They answered all of our questions so quickly, and they bent over backwards for us throughout the whole process. I want to say a special thank you to Claire! Claire listened to everything that we wanted and gave us such a personal and special day. Claire tailored everything to exactly what we wanted. I loved our meetings with Claire and we had so much fun planning everything with her. Claire is so bubbly and kind, and we hope she knows how amazing she is!! One of the main things we loved about the Alverbank was how intimate the venue was, and how the only people there were the family and friends who were part of the wedding party. This made the day extra special for us. We would recommend the Alverbank 1000000 times over! We are forever grateful for everything that they did for us!

Claire and the team at the Alverbank were top class, and truly made our wedding special, nothing was too much trouble and all guests commented on the amazing food and hospitality. They helped bring our dream wedding to life and, even when the weather took a turn last minute, saved the day and gave us the most perfect day we’ll remember for the rest of our lives. The Alverbank truly is a hidden gem and we’d recommend a wedding with them to anyone. We couldn’t have asked for more.
