The Best Hotel in Town

The best hotel in town. Full of character and very friendly and helpful staff.

Kind, friendly and polite staff. Superb room with comfy beds. Food was also excellent. Nothing more to ask for. Clean and well appointed room.

The team has worked very hard and the new bar and dining/ballroom are both impressive. Chef Sam Squires is exceptional .

What a Gem of a place the old crown coaching Inn is.The staff , the service, the atmosphere were fantastic, along with the delicious roast beef & the cooked breakfast ( which was tweaked to my liking).Everything made my stay & I will definitely be back.

The Chef Is Next Level!!

The food is the best I’ve ever eaten, the chef has some serious talent!! Something that Faringdon is crying out for! The impressive wine list has amazing selection of wines to see for a restaurant outside of London. Looking forward to coming back very soon!!

We went to this newly refurbished bar and high end restaurant just after it had opened. Initially we went in for a drink before going into Oxford. First impressions were of Anna in the bar. A delightful eloquent engaging young lady who really promoted the new product. On her recommendation we booked for the following evening.

New owners. New attitude. New focus.

The hotel has been taken over and restored to its former glory by the new owners. They’ve stripped all the old and replaced with the new. New paint, new furniture, new menu, new rooms, new everything. It’s a historic building brought into 2022 with amazing taste. The new dining room was an amazing place for a Sunday roast. The dinner menu looks fantastic and we can’t wait to come back!

Having just returned from an amazing weekend break at the Old Coaching Inn I just wanted to recommend this wonderful gem. We arrived on Saturday afternoon and were promptly shown to our room which was lovely . The decor was very tasteful and definitely still in keeping with the old building. Our room was spacious , well equipped with various tea / coffee’s and a coffee machine .The bed was really comfortable and the linen and towels were off a high quality . The bathroom was spotless!

We absolutely love our original floor! Both in the Ballroom and the cobbled courtyard!

It simply has to be our progression. From gaining the keys to achieving two AA rosettes is something we are immensely proud of.
