The Plough and Harrow Hotel Birmingham

Our wedding was for approximately 60 day guest’s with a further 40 attending our wedding reception. The location in the heart of Birmingham was perfect for us, great transport links and free parking. The plough an Harrow is a gem of a building a country house feel in the heart of the second city. We had our ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception here. The food was lovely and the staff were friendly nothing was too much trouble, dietary requirements were catered for and everyone had a fantastic experience. Many of our guests stayed overnight, the rooms are spacious some are a little dated but nothing that spoilt the day. The bridal suite was beautiful and very in keeping with the buildings history. The terrace room is a gorgeous and beautifully dressed by Clare. We had access to an outdoor terrace and small garden was something you would be hard pressed to find at any other city centre venue. All of our guests have commented it was such a lovely day, it was welcoming and relaxed and the option of an evening BBQ rather than the traditional Buffett was a great hit. The bar area has a piano and following the recommendations of our wedding coordinator we booked a pianist who played and kept our guests entertained until the evening reception, we hired an led dancefloor which transformed the terrace room and bought a fantastic day to a close. Our wedding day was everything we hoped it would be and we have no hesitation recommending the plough and Harrow

"We recently celebrated my daughter and son in law's reception at the Plough & Harrow, following their marriage at the Birmingham Oratory. I cannot praise Emma and her marvellous team there enough. We received the most attentive service from all members of staff throughout the whole weekend. From our first meeting, when we looked around the hotel to our check out following our daughter's wonderful wedding weekend, we had the best experience. Nothing was too much trouble for any member of staff. Throughout the planning process, Emma was always on hand to answer any questions we had. She gave great supplier suggestions, which was particularly helpful as we are not local to the area, and her attention to detail really helped to make the day run smoothly. From the moment we came through the doors I knew this was to be our venue. And we where not to be disappointed. From beginning to end Emma could not have done more for us and even after coming back from Honeymoon people kept telling us how much they had enjoyed the day.

We had our wedding here on and couldn't have asked for a more perfect day from start to finish. All the staff were brilliant and couldn't have done enough for us or our guests, nothing was too much. The food was fantastic, the main room was beautiful! Many of our guests had rooms to stay in too and they all said they we're lovely, me and my new wife had the bridal suite and it was very luxurious and the bed was very comfortable. We are definitely coming back next year for our 1st anniversary.

From arranging our bespoke menu to suit everyone's needs to helping us organise the seating plan. I was in contact with the Wedding Organiser right up till our wedding day and she couldn't do enough. Everything ran smoothly during the day and the food was excellent. I would recommended this hotel for anyone's wedding. You will not be disappointed. The staff kept everyone calm and made all the guests feel welcome.
