From the day of your first meeting with our wedding coordinator to the day you say “I do” you will receive an excellent service from our team and we will together tailor the perfect day to suit your idea of how you want to celebrate your marriage.
Our glamorous Ball Room with original large Georgian windows offering views over the river is perfect for your ceremony. Your wedding breakfast can be taken in our elegant Conservatory with dazzling chandelier or in our rustic Barn with its vintage country style. The Club Room's private bar, Bose sound system and fibre optic lighting will make your evening reception into a great party. It is impressive and romantic, as well as friendly and welcoming.

We also offer weddings for just the bride and groom/just a few guests and rather than our full wedding package we would be able to offer our Ball Room for the ceremony at a flat room hire rate and after the ceremony it would be up to the two of you really what you have in mind for your special day. We can of course simply reserve a table in the restaurant if you wish after or if you have anything else in mind, just let me know and we can have a look at different options.

Thank you for your interest in hoisting such a special day with us here at The Swan Hotel and Spa.
We have a range of opportunities within our packages. we have options for intimate wedding and larger weddings too please see link;

Our packages run mid-week Sunday - Monday (not including bank holidays)
We have a set price for weddings with a min number of 30 as;
£160 per day guest
£50 per child
£25 addition evening guests.
This included a number of things.
Ceremony room, bows/ riborn on the chairs - at any request we can get any colour.
Reception drinks and canapés
Wedding favours for each guest on the table.
Gift table/ cake stand - cake needs to be provided Sweet cart use-you would need to provide the sweets
Wedding breakfast( 3 course meal detailed in the brochure)- with champagne to toast and 2 bottles of wine on each table.
Use of the club room for the night do with private bar use until late evening.

Please come and see the swan in its beautiful self and really get the swan feel. We can arrange a venue show around and maybe even, hopefully have a seek peak into our love nest cottage and loft suites, where you will get a complimentary free stay in one on your wedding night.
Wedding Guests up to 30 rooms get 10% discount on the night of the wedding. firstly to do this you would let me know the amount of rooms you would need and we reserve them and then myself events team and you and yours will discuss with me on the 6 month or 6 week meeting up to the wedding and decide a room listing, needs and requirements and agreed rates.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Do not worry about the little things and just enjoy every minute of your magical day together! We will take care of everything behind the scenes so that all you need to focus on is absorbing all the love and the amazing memories in the making with your family and friends!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
We had a really special visit once from a couple of storm troopers who were moving around the hotel and even took part in the wedding ceremony. They offered lots of interesting photo opportunities for both the couple and their guests!

Where’s the best photo spot at The Swan?
You can take a romantic stroll down the river towards our marina and step out on one of the little jetties for dreamy pictures. Quirky boathouses and by-passing Swans on the water give you the perfect backdrop for your wedding pictures. Our beautiful Nature Trail also make a lovely setting and you may even be lucky enough to catch a charming steam train going past in the background!
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at The Swan?
We get lots of celebrities coming to stay at the hotel, but we haven't had one at a wedding just yet! We have words that Harry Styles' sister is attending one next year though!
What’s your favourite canapé?
The mini Cumberland sausages with a honey and mustard glaze are particularly moorish and are always the first to run low!
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Who can resist a bacon/sausage or fish finger butty after a few glasses of prosecco!
What is The Swan most unique feature?
Not only do we have stunning and romantic indoor spaces, we are also lucky enough to have the beautiful river Leven right on our doorstep as well as the gorgeous five-arched stone bridge across it which dates back as far as 1651. It is a truly grand entrance to the hotel and provides amazing photo opportunities.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
We love all the quirky décor and the esthetics of the hotel, and the fact that we are family friendly is something we really shout about. And although it is not finished yet, we are super excited for the huge development the hotel is currently undergoing - with 30 new bedrooms and a new spa with hydrotherapy in-and-out pool, outdoor hot tubs, thermal rooms - it will be a great experience for yourself and your guest to enjoy during their time with us!
