What is your most memorable wedding?
Every wedding we film is memorable.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Cinematic, emotional, authentic, timeless, artistic.
What about your business are you most proud of?
What I’m most proud of in our business is the personal connection we build with each couple. We take the time to understand their vision and ensure that every wedding film we create is a true reflection of their unique love story. The trust couples place in us to capture such an important moment in their lives is something we deeply value, and seeing the joy and emotion on their faces when they watch their wedding video is incredibly rewarding. It's this commitment to quality and personalised service that sets us apart and makes us proud of the work we do.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
My No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples is to focus on what truly matters to you both. It’s easy to get caught up in the details and pressures of trying to please everyone, but your wedding day should reflect your unique love story. Prioritise the elements that are most meaningful to you, whether that’s the ceremony, the music, or the way you celebrate with loved ones. When you stay true to yourselves, everything will fall into place, and the day will feel genuine and unforgettable.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
A favorite personal touch I’ve seen is when couples incorporate handwritten letters or small gifts for each other before the ceremony. It’s a beautiful, intimate moment that adds a personal, heartfelt connection. I also love when couples include unique cultural or family traditions, making the ceremony even more meaningful.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Our typical process with a couple begins with an initial consultation where we discuss your vision for the wedding video. During this meeting, we’ll get to know you both, understand your preferences, and talk through the details of your day, including any special moments or requests.
Next, we create a customised plan that aligns with your vision and budget, whether it’s full-day coverage, highlight reels, or any specific shots you’d like captured. As the big day approaches, we’ll keep in touch to ensure everything is on track.
On the wedding day, we work discreetly and efficiently to capture every key moment, from getting ready to the final send-off. After the wedding, we begin the editing process, carefully selecting the most meaningful moments and crafting them into a beautiful, cinematic film.
Once the video is ready, we’ll present it to you for approval and make any final adjustments. The finished video is delivered in a format that’s easy to share and cherish for years to come.
Throughout the process, our goal is to ensure your wedding film is a true reflection of your love story.
What is the most exciting thing you have caught on camera?
One of the most exciting moments I've captured was during a wedding when the groom surprised the bride with a heartfelt, impromptu song he wrote for her. As he performed it, the emotion in the room was overwhelming, and the bride’s reaction was priceless. The raw, genuine emotion made for such a beautiful and unforgettable moment, and it was incredible to be able to capture that surprise and joy on camera. Those moments are what make wedding videography so special getting to preserve genuine, once-in-a-lifetime reactions.
What is the one film you wish you had directed and why?
One film I wish I had directed is "Inception" by Christopher Nolan. The complexity of its narrative, blending dreams with reality, is incredibly intriguing. The way it challenges perceptions while maintaining a deeply emotional core is something I admire. The visual storytelling and the intricate use of time and space are both technically impressive and deeply engaging. It's a perfect example of how powerful and immersive a film can be, and it’s a direction I’d love to explore in my own storytelling work, especially in capturing moments that transcend time and space, much like a wedding video can do.
What is your favourite soundtrack to put to a wedding video?
A favourite soundtrack I love using for wedding videos is "You Are The Best Thing" by Ray LaMontagne. Its upbeat, soulful feel brings a joyful energy, perfectly matching the celebration of love. The track’s warm, heartfelt tone also fits well with the intimate moments of a wedding day.
Another go-to is All of Me by John Legend. The song’s deep emotional resonance and timeless lyrics make it an ideal choice for capturing the tenderness of first looks, vows, or dances. It beautifully enhances the romantic atmosphere of a wedding video.
Describe how you got into videography.
It all started with my own wedding video, coming up to 30years now, back in the day of VHS tapes.
We had the wedding, had a fantastic honeymoon and came back all excited to watch our wedding video and relive such a memorable day.
Well that wasn’t the case, it was appalling what we received.
It was such poor quality we could not recognise who the guests were.
So I decided to buy myself a camcorder back then, filming families and friends weddings. Then the word started getting around on how they enjoyed reliving their wedding day.
So I decided to take it a step further, learning all about computers, getting involved with editing techniques and basically have never looked back since.
For over 13 years now I have been producing weddings videos full time, 28 years overall.
My son Sam is my second shooter and now my daughter Ellie, is getting involved with the editing, bit of a family thing going on lol.
So there’s a little insight on how I got into videography.
