What is your most memorable wedding?
Every wedding we film is memorable. It gives us the opportunity to film something that you will keep in your family for generations and it makes us apart of the family unit the minute we deliver your films. We are proud and honored to be at every single wedding we attend.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Natural, artistic, beautiful, noninvasive, romantic
What about your business are you most proud of?
Our ability to produce films from every single family we are hired by and to hear how happy they are with what they are given. Being perfectionists, it is vital that we make something you fall in love with.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
The best advice is to not overthink and don't pressure yourselves. Weddings are often consumed by tension, often beset on the wonderful couples to provide a reflective event of themselves. This is your day, your special moment and it should not be over-saturated with stress or frustration. Whatever the outcome of your guests' opinions, choose what you both love, do so with the utmost forethought of each other, and always remember your wonderful day as a reflection of your love for each other.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
beautiful homemade films of both the bride and groom in their youth. Wonderful archive film of their parents who may or may not be with us anymore or their gracious grand parents sharing a kiss and talking directly to both parties on their wedding day when they are unfortunately unable to be there.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Our typical process is, on the day, just allow both the bride and groom to be themselves and not feel pressured to perform while being filmed. We make sure that we are always aware of what is going on and often pay attention when there is that small moment that they do not know of when they are being filmed, thus getting the most natural film possible. Every moment needs to be genuine. We want genuine smiles and laughs. Genuine tears and embraces. This is hard to do so we pride ourselves on recognizing those moments .
What is the most exciting thing you have caught on camera?
A groom I had met long before making wedding videos wanted to create a movie-style sequence to propose to his bride-to-be at a cinema. His Bride arrived at the cinema and, following a successful showing on the screen, he came running down the aisle as was in the movie we created and proposed to her in front of all their friends and family. She had absolutely no idea anyone she knew attended and had the predetermined idea that she was supposedly there to watch the Conjuring.
What is the one film you wish you had directed and why?
Notting hill. I have a fascination when it comes to Rom-coms and absolutely adore any film that has Hugh grant. The early two-thousands film, framing of shots, and the wonderfully open, well-lit cinematography of Notting hill make me fall head over heels every time. There are also darker notes within the film pertaining to Hugh grants character, his purchasing of the house for him and his partner to live in, only to end up living with some estranged Welshmen, owning a failing book shop and essentially watching his life fall apart, only to be picked back up by meeting a star studded actress who he falls in love with.
What is your favourite soundtrack to put to a wedding video?
Anything that is reflective of the mood from the day. Is it a winter wedding ? or Autumnal ? The music is as vital as the film. Getting sound that best creates an atmosphere on screen is pivotal.
Describe how you got into videography.
My start was at the age of 17. I began filming weddings for a local videography company, editing to tight deadlines, and producing high-quality films in some of the most beautiful venues for some of the most wonderful couples. Following this, I attended college then went to university and went on to achieve a BA in Film and lastly achieved a MA in documentary film-making.
